This was the launch title that made everyone want a Neo Geo. Large characters, colorful sprites, and a sprawling fantasy world. As a platformer, it's so-so...definitely balanced towards milking quarters. There's an interesting system in here of mixing colored orbs to change characters, but it never feels like there's a lot of choice going on. Cheap hits, annoying checkpoints and a punishing upgrade system don't add to the fun. It looks very pretty, though!
