| JAPANESE VERSION The Real Bout games infuse a breath of fresh air into the Fatal Fury series. Further differentiating themselves from the Street Fighters of the day (leaving that to the King of Fighters franchise), the series continued to push into unique territory by focusing on the "changing planes" and reducing the number of attack buttons. This makes the game centered more on a strategy of positioning and setup rather than simply complex move strings. Characters are larger than normally seen in this genre. The cover art is pretty b.a., too. |
