| Conversion of SEGA arcade game. You take the role of Opa-Opa, an egg-shaped ship with the option of tacking on wings, a jet engine, and more. When you touch the ground, Opa-Opa deploys little legs to walk around on. Similar to Defender in the side-scrolling "wrap around" world, your goal in each level is initially to take out large immobile enemies with your guns and bombs, while shooting fodder opponents. Collect coins from defeated opponents, and purchase time-limited weapon upgrades or even 1-Ups. After defeating the requisite number of "big enemies," the bosses appear and they are the real highlight of the show. Strange and large, each has its own patterns and weak points. Pastel colors and bouncy music make this game memorable and fun. |
