| AKA "Seirei Senshi Spriggan" Fantastic vertical shooter from the masters of that genre, Compile. Flying samurai mecha and unleashing death at tremendous speeds in some weird alter-Edo-era. Unique mechanic for a shooter, you can hold up to three orbs at once. The combination of these orbs produces different shot effects: a combination of Red, Blue, Red is very different from Blue, Blue, Red. At any time, you may drop the most recently-acquired orb as a sort of bomb. Oddly, its sequel is vastly different but also good. |
